| The Mission of the UFOA Local 3172, AFL-CIO The mission of the Hackensack Uniformed Fire Officers Association, International Association of Fire Fighters Local 3172, shall be to provide first class, professional and loyal representation, guidance and leadership on all matters effecting career professional fire officers, the firefighters we lead, and our loved ones, be it in the realm of labor issues or The Job. The foregoing shall include but in no way be limited to; advancing and protecting wages, benefits and working conditions, as well as that related to the supervision of fire, technical rescue, emergency medical, hazardous materials and related calls for assistance to which the City of Hackensack Fire Department may respond to in the protection of the lives and property of citizens and visitors to our Great City. Hackensack Fire Officers shall see to it that the emergency they respond to is mitigated to the best of the Fire Department's ability and in so accomplishing that noble mission, the protection of our Brother Firefighters shall be Job #1! |
